My Garden 7/24/11

  This blog is based entirely on my home garden. Every week I will post the on goings in the garden such as: plant growth, plant watering, and so forth oh yes and the never ending battle against the pest forces of evil. But before my informational garden blog turns into a fictional garden mayhem; I should probably tell you the stats. 


                 Berries
              200-300 raspberries/green raspberries/ flowers. 
                          23 blackberries


                Squash
                    1 zucchini 1 1/2"
                    1 straight neck squash same length as zucchini.


             Tomatoes
                 Cherry Tomato Plant 1     10 green tomatoes 1 orange 45 flowers

                 Cherry Tomato Plant 2     6 green  tomatoes  1 orange 45 flowers

                 Cherry Tomato Plant 3  recovering from battle wounds( a deer took a bite out of him when he hadn't produced yet) 3 green tomatoes 0 orange 12 flowers.

                Goliath Tomato  4 green tomatoes largest 2 1/2 inches 15 flowers.

                Jetsetter Tomato 9 tomatoes largest 2 inches. 16 flowers.


                    Melons


                       Sangria Watermelon 2 female flowers with melon longest vine 3'8"

                      Dixi Lee  Watermelon 1  1 melon longest vine 4'

                      Dixi Lee 2 just male flowers longest vine 4'

                      Gypsy Watermelon 2 melons longest vine 7'9"

                      Ambrosia Cantaloupe just male flowers

                      Crenshaw melon just male flowers

                      Primo Cantaloupe 4 melons largest 3"

                      Honeydew melon 3 female flowers

                      Rockstar Cantaloupe 2 melons

              Corn

                  Argent 2'

              Peppers

                     Hole mole pepper 3 peppers longest 5"
                     Anaheim Chile 4 peppers longest 4 1/2"
                     One of our hole mole peppers and a Red Beauty Bell pepper were destroyed
                               by a vile gopher. May they rest in pieces.

    Eggplants and Grapes

       One of the eggplants has two big purple flowers on it and the grapes are looking like some one stole their growth hormones . I hope they get better.

  1. This is so cool B! I love how dedicated you are to this garden. I love that you and Daddy get to do this together. And I love that you are learning so much! You are learning things that you will remember all your life. Someday you'll create a garden with your family and remember fondly your memories of gardening as a kid. So proud of you!
